Okatie, SC – (September 2, 2019) – Due to the projected storm surge from Hurricane Dorian, Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) will turn off water at the following causeway valves at 8 pm September 3:
- Bermuda Bluff
- Birdfoot Landing
- Callawassie Island
- Cat Island
- Coosaw Island
- Distant Island
- Gov. Blake Drive
- Horse Island Drive
- Kingston Key Drive
- Myrtle Island Drive
- Pine Island
- Shrimp Shack (Fripp Island)
- Tansi Village
- Warsaw Island
The restoration of service will begin once the weather permits. Updates are constantly available on our website homepage news (bjwsa.org) as well as on social media. To contact BJWSA, send an e-mail to info@bjwsa.org.
After service is restored, there will be a boil water advisory in place until customers are notified by BJWSA that it is safe to consume. Water must be boiled vigorously for at least one minute before drinking or cooking.
